Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates on this topic.

oldhome 135x100 Making it count! The final step in my guide to Real Estate investing is a short one but a sweet one. When you invest in to Real Estate that is not your primary residence the rule of thumb is to practice the basic business principles… sell for more then you buy, and rent to break even or make money. Your goal should always be to sell something for more than it cost you to buy and repair. When you are taking the road of owning rental properties, you are depending on the income to subsidize a fair amount of the mortgage, maintenance fee’s where applicable), and property taxes. Avoid at all costs undertaking tenants that can not afford the asking rate of the rent and do not put your self in to situations where you drop your rental price below market to rush a tenant in. Staying focused on your goals and working towards them daily will help you stay on track to success in your Real Estate venture.

Approaching Real Estate investing with greed and dreams of quick dollars will drive you straight into the poor house with a reserved parking spot. However being sensible, having a business oriented mindset, and keeping your goals in focus will allow you to make appropriate business-focused decisions and in turn will allow you to grow your investment empire to any desired level.

By following these simple steps I hope you have some better understanding to how Real Estate investing works and I do hope you have a better sense of how and where to get started. Remember it is good to have good people around you and it is best you surround your self with the right team to help you get to your goals starting with a good Realtor, Lawyer, and Accountant.
