Selling your home is more difficult than some people realize. The amount of time it takes to prepare your home can go anywhere for a few days to several weeks.
Ideally you have to remove everything in your home that can be labelled as a “clutter”.
When a potential buyer walks in your home they would want to see a home in which they can envision themselves living in it, with their set-up. The easiest way to do this is to have the space available for their imagination to work.
The key here is “Less is better”.
Now removing everything is not the idea here, you would want to “depersonalize” your home in order for the potential buyer to imagine how he/she could personalize it to suit their needs.
A great example is to remove family portraits, by removing them you are enabling the potential buyer to imagine his own family’s portrait in that location or even a painting they have but never found the space to put it up before.
Once you remove “clutter” in your home, you can easily place an arrangement to add in a section of your home. It would not be the focus of the potential buyer but it allows them to think what they might do in that space as you emphasized on it.
Following the advice given here will help show your house better to the potential buyers and we all know that in selling your home, is a tedious task that you cannot wait to get over with.
