When you are selling your home a large percentage of buyers decide whether or not to look inside a house or even take it seriously based on its curb appeal.When you approach a home, there will be certain features that would make an impression on you. Curb appeal is the appeal of your home when it is viewed from the street curb. The appeal of your home could consist of the exterior of your home being clean or the landscaping is well done.
With curb appeal you have to keep in mind that the potential buyer will view your home differently than you would. We all tend to overlook many of the faults in our home, however to sell your home at its highest price follow the curb appeal exercise.
When you are driving home, stop and look and get a good look at your house and its surrounds and consider:
1. What is the first impression your house and yard area?
2. What would be the best exterior feature of your house or lot? Can you enhance them?
3. What are the worst exterior features of your house or lot? Can you fix or minimize them?
When you view your home as a potential buyer might, you will begin to notice flaws around the exterior of your home.
It can range from weeds on your lawn to dirty windows or gutters you haven’t bothered to clean in a while.
Make a list and begin to tackle each job one at a time; it will help make your house and lot look more attractive. With a more attractive house, you will receive buyers who know you are serious about selling your home and you want people who are not serious about buying a home; especially when you put hours into preparing your house.
By just considering the points above you would be able to begin fixing your house’ curb appeal and will not have many potential buyers noticing your home.
