I will change it a little by telling you what you can do to not sell your house.
This might bring about a bit of confusion however, the reason for this article is to explain to you what needs to be done and what are the consequences for not doing them.
1. Leaving the Yard as is
As a large part of your houses’ curb appeal, it is important to fix up your yard. You might feel they are coming to see your house, not the yard however consider your yard as an extension of your house and give it the attention it deserves.
2. Odours you can Live Without
Making your house smell great will attract buyers, however leaving trash in the bin or not cleaning the litter box will only make your house unattractive. Nothing can put off a potential buyer than walking into a house that smells stale.
3. Expressing Yourself
It is great to have your home express who you are, however remember what you like may not suite the buyers’ tastes. You have to make your home into a blank slate. From this I mean have it arranged in such a way that anyone can imagine themselves living in it.
4. No Repairs Necessary
Letting the buyer fix any holes in the wall or broken light fixtures will definitely deter them from considering to buy your house or at least want the price dropped considerably. Be prepared to do repairs to your house, a process which can range from several weeks to several months.
These four points are generally what you can do if you do not want your house to be sold. By doing the opposite of them you are ensuring your house is sellable and a buyer will come around in time to purchase your home.
