When dealing with buyers you get to know a lot of thing’s – especially wants!
Life is incredibly hectic. To even look for houses you have to arrange something after work hours. How is a home buyer able to squeeze enough time to upgrade? Some people can, but a lot can’t. We deal with a lot of buyers – especially first-timers and nowadays what we are finding is they have specific requirements with regards to the finishes. They prefer something “move-in” ready.
Big wants what we are seeing are:
- Granite Counter-tops: Many buyers we deal with have based their purchasing decision almost solely on the quality of the kitchen. If you are thinking of selling it may be wise to invest dollars into the kitchen. Not only the counter-tops, but the appliances – make them stainless steal. They are hot right now.
- Hardwood Flooring: We actually came across a couple of client’s who only requested to see homes with hardwood flooring; they wouldn’t even go into the home if it had broadloom or laminate flooring on the main level.
- Lighting: Pot-lights (Recessed lighting) seem to be drawing a lot of attention from some of our clients. They are an expensive investment but do give a star-like quality to any home.
We have found if we come across a home with these 3 combinations the home seems to get a lot more attention.
