Last time, information on where how you can rent despite bad credit was provided, and information on some of your options in the face of financial struggle was touched upon.

Rent gear income (RGI), sometimes called subsidized, non-profit or social housing, is rent charged at a fixed percentage of the tenant’s income, it is usually 30%.

Tenants charged rent great-to-income pay less than they would for the same unit in the private market. The reason for this is the lower costs; these rentals have requirements that you must been before applying.

There are many different programs available across the country to support and provide subsidized housing to Canadians. These programs also vary from municipality to municipality.

For other sources of help, you can look towards community organization, friends or family.

You can also try community and religion organization for assistance if you find yourself unable to make rent payments.

Keep in mind that there will most likely bee specific requirements and waiting lists for assistance programs; also the amount of assistance may be limited as well.

During these economic times, anyone has their risk of losing their job; however, remember that there are always people that can assist you in your time of need.
