1055108 my ball2 135x100 Funding Provided for Wakamow Valley TrailMoose Jaw’s gem, Wakamow Valley will be seeing major upgrades thanks to funding provided from the valley authority, and the federal and provincial governments.

Upgrades will include the rebuilding of the Assinboine Walking Bridge; the retrofitting of the Cree walking ridge for safer pedestrian access and upgrading the pathway linking the two bridges.

The contribution made by the federal government, provincial government and the Wakamow Valley Authority each contributed $314,624 for the project which has a total cost of the project being $943,872.

The MP for Palliser, Ray Boughen made an announcement on Friday at the skating oval on behalf of Lynne Yelich, minister for Western Economic Diversification, from the Recreational Infrastructure Canada Program

This is one of the many announcements for funding that has been made this week as part of constituency week.

Boughen explained that he has a constituency week about once every four weeks, so he uses the time to visit as many places as possible.

It is great to see these improvements in the works. It is great to see that the beautiful and well maintained park in Moose Jaw is getting upgraded to become even better.

I personally want to thank the Wakamow Valley Authority and both the federal and provincial governments for working together in this venture.
