This announcement was made at the Moose Jaw’s Western Development Museum on Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 by Ray Boughen, MP for Palliser, on behalf of James Moore, Minister of Canadian heritage and official languages.

The total amount of funding provided by the Government for the Moose Jaw’s Western Development Museum is $18,780.

Executive director of the Moose Jaw Western Development Museum, David Klatt, explained that the money will be matched by the Moose Jaw Western Development Museum, will be used to build an elevator to the mezzanine level of the Snowbirds Gallery.

Klatt explained that the elevator will allow disabled access.

The work will start quickly because the money is meant to be spent by the end of March 2010.

The mezzanine level was developed when the Snowbirds gallery was build due to the fact that there was needed access for people.

This funding has been needed for a long time, and the fact that it has been provided will be great for the Moose Jaw Western Development Museum.
