You have read that curb appeal does play a large factor when selling your home, and for this reason I will give you 6 tips on ensuring your yard looks great.
1. Trim
Prune any branches that touch your house, cover a window or block a path.
2. Fertilize your Lawn
You should find a high quality weed killer with lots of micronutrients as well as nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium to kill growth before the growth starts.
3. Indulge in Mulch
First impressions are worth it and for this you should spend the extra cost to by new mulch which retains color throughout the season. It will add a superior visual appeal to your yard.
4. Wash Everything Thoroughly
Use a power washer to wash any cobwebs, mold and the dirt that accumulates on decks, patios, fences, windows, etc. A bit of warning, do not get the water under the siding courses of in soffit vents where moisture can cause damages.
5. Plant Annuals
Have plants in your yard that will bloom during their specific season; it can brighten dull spots in your yard or draw attention to features you want to emphasize. For color and impact, you should consider planting, low care annuals such as petunias or geranium beds.
6. Border your Flowerbeds
This is one of the easiest ways to make your yard look neat and groomed. By placing a border around your flowerbeds will do wonders for your curb appeal.
