The only problem is that parks and recreation director Jody Hauta said that this is a cost that the city of Moose Jaw should not be expecting to pay in future years to encourage urban forestation.

The administration is currently trying to make up for several years where the boulevard tree program was not well advertised.

Councillors and the mayor have asked several questions as to whether the 2010 – 2014 capital budget during the budget committee meeting.

The administration has yet to recommend such measures and the staff is yet to be able to check with tree planting companies on possible costs until spring.

Personally I feel this is a good project to have going on in the city of Moose Jaw, particularly due to the fact that it will be bringing more green to the city, helping the environment and also helping the city look even better.

One location for tree planting is besides the landfill site in order to provide a visual screen from the highway as part of this years capital upgrades at the dump.
